On Wednesday, November 4, Revinate and SiteMinder hosted an executive breakfast in London, coinciding with World Travel Market (WTM) 2015. They took advantage of the opportunity to bring hospitality industry leaders together to discuss the future of hotel distribution and online marketing.
“We wanted to learn more about the thing that are top of mind of hoteliers these days to keep on developing products that address the challenges hoteliers expect to face in the future” said David Chestler, EVP of Sales and Business Development of SiteMinder. Among other topics, the panel discussed how to address the need for brands to better understand their guests so they can deliver customized and relevant experiences to their customers.
The highly interactive session included peer discussions with representatives from a variety brands like B&B hotels, Apax Hotels, Rixos Hotels and Magnuson Hotels. The morning was moderated by Peter O’Connor Ph.D., Professor of Information Systems at ESSEC Business School, and the outcome of the key topics will be published in a whitepaper and webinar in December 2015.

Some of the challenges that were discussed during the session were the increasing need of guest knowledge to provide personalized services by hoteliers and the consolidation of major players of in the travel industry.
